Tis Abay is a small village which has grown substantially since a hydro electric water plant was built there. From Tis Abay I made my way down to the Blue Nile Falls. On our descent we were passed by locals bringing their livestock and harvests to the market. I was accompanied by a nice young man who insisted he didn't expect money in return- to the Blue Nile Falls. Breathtaking!! The falls are actually smaller than usual because a dam was built and holds back 75% of the Nile's water. Imagine what it must be like at 100%!!
